2nd Information Day
The second community open day was held on Sunday the 18th of December 2011 at the Curramulka Community Club. Over 100 people attended and over 70 participated in one of the two hour-long information and Q&A sessions.
The sessions focused on the efforts of the Ceres Project Team to date, the studies that were underway as part of the Development Application Process and the steps involved in the permitting and consultation process. The REpower Australia (now Senvion Australia) CEO at the time, Dan Hansen, provided an overview of the Suzlon Group and its commitment to a long lasting relationship with the community.
The sessions were a great opportunity for people to clarify information, ask questions and raise any concerns.
The Community day was attended by people from all over the Yorke Peninsula, especially the Sandilands area, and was once again an opportunity for attendees to gather considerable information on the project (fact sheet and FAQs) and to meet the Ceres Project Team. The Ceres Project Team was impressed with the level of interest from the community and was glad to have a chance to answer a multitude of questions about the project.
There was also another opportunity to register an interest in employment and business opportunities as a supplier to the project.
The Ceres Project Team would like to thank the members of the community who attended and helped make the day a great success.
