1st Information Day
The first stage of public and community consultation kicked off on the 30th October 2011, prior to the busy harvest time, with an introductory information day. The day was held at the Curramulka Community Club and attracted over 150 people with over 100 attending one of the three hour-long information and Q&A sessions.
The day was attended by people from all over Yorke Peninsula, and was an opportunity for them to learn more about the project (fact sheet and FAQs). The reaction was overwhelmingly positive.
As part of our commitment to maximize the opportunities and benefits to the local community, there was also the opportunity for people to register early, their interest in employment and business opportunities as a supplier to the project.
The Ceres Project Team would like to thank the members of the community who attended and helped to make the day a great success.
