Best Practice Design

The Ceres Project commissioned 23 specialist studies and reports to help inform the development application. These studies have been undertaken by international expert consultants Parsons Brinckerhoff and a variety of specialist sub-consultants on specific aspects of the project including:

  • Traffic and transport assessment
  • Geotechnical desktop study
  • Fire risk assessment
  • Greenhouse gas assessment
  • Surface water assessment

  • Marine habitat mapping survey – sub-sea cable alignment
  • Noise and vibration assessment
  • Coastal process and hydrodynamic assessment

These studies assessed the potential impacts associated with the construction and operation of the project and identified a range of mitigation measures to manage identified impacts.

The results of these studies, together with the information gathered from the community and government, were used to design the wind farm and the associated infrastructure.
